Overview
SakuraBeads is a small, independent, handcrafted jewelry catalog. This website is a static collection of HTML, CSS and JavaScript files. There are no user accounts, no online checkout and no database of customers. We built it that way on purpose, because it means there is almost nothing for us to collect.
In short: we collect almost nothing, and we never sell your data. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no profiling.
Two small outside services do help the site work: a like counter for products and a contact form on the About page. Both are explained below.
Information we do not collect
SakuraBeads does not collect, store or process:
- Names, email addresses or phone numbers, unless you personally send them to us (see Ordering & contact).
- Passwords or login details. The site has no accounts.
- Payment or billing details. We do not take payments through this website.
- Analytics data, browsing behavior, heatmaps or session recordings.
- Advertising identifiers, tracking pixels or retargeting data.
- Location data beyond what your browser or a hosting provider naturally includes in a request.
- Data from children. This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
If you don't send it to us directly, we don't have it.
Information stored on your device
To remember your choices, the site saves a few small items in your browser's localStorage. This data stays on your device. It is never sent to us and is not attached to network requests.

Services we use
Like most websites, SakuraBeads loads or contacts a few outside services. When your browser connects to them, they technically receive your IP address, your browser's User-Agent and the page you're visiting. This is standard for any site that uses these tools.
- Google Fonts provides the Inter and Playfair Display typefaces (
fonts.googleapis.com,fonts.gstatic.com). Google's privacy policy. - jsDelivr serves the Bootstrap code and Bootstrap Icons (
cdn.jsdelivr.net). jsDelivr's privacy policy. - Like counter (Cloudflare Workers). When the catalog loads, or you tap the heart on a product, your browser asks our like counter for a product's total or adds one to it. The request contains only the product code (for example
earrings-4536). The counter keeps a running total per product. It is not designed to record who liked what. As with any request, Cloudflare's network sees your IP address. Cloudflare's privacy policy. - Contact form (Web3Forms). If you use the form on the About page, your name, email, optional phone number and message are sent to Web3Forms, which forwards them to our inbox. Web3Forms' privacy policy.
- Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, time and pages requested) for security, debugging and abuse prevention. They are kept only as long as the provider's standard retention allows, and we do not use them to identify individual visitors.
We do not control what these providers do with the technical data their servers receive. If this matters to you, you can block third-party requests with a browser extension. The pages will still work, just with system fonts and without the like counts.
Cookies
SakuraBeads does not set any cookies. Not for analytics, not for advertising, and not for functionality. If you open your browser's developer tools and check Application → Cookies, you will find none from sakurabeads.com.
localStorage, which is not a cookie and is never sent automatically to any website, so it can't be used to track you across sites.Ordering & contact
SakuraBeads has no online checkout. Orders are arranged personally so we can talk through details, materials and shipping.
The order sheet. On the catalog page you can add pieces to an order and create an order sheet, an image listing your items, quantities, prices and total, together with the name, email and WhatsApp number you type in. The image is created inside your browser. Nothing is uploaded, and we only receive it if you choose to send it to us by email, WhatsApp or another way.
The information you share when ordering typically includes:
- Your name
- Your delivery address
- Your phone or WhatsApp number (also for the courier)
- Your email address or Instagram handle, so we can reply
- Any preferences you mention about the item
We use this information solely to fulfil your order: to confirm details, make the piece and hand your parcel to a delivery service, such as a local courier in Afghanistan or an international shipping provider. It is shared with the delivery service only as far as needed to deliver your package. We do not use it for marketing, add it to a mailing list, or sell or share it with anyone else.
If you message us on WhatsApp or Instagram, those companies' own privacy policies apply to the conversation (WhatsApp, Instagram).
If you would like your order details deleted after the transaction is complete, just ask. See Your rights.
Your rights
Even though we hold very little about you, you have full control over what we do hold. You may contact us at any time to:
- Access: ask what personal information, if any, we hold about you.
- Correct: ask us to fix inaccurate details, such as a delivery address.
- Delete: ask us to erase your order history and related emails or messages.
- Withdraw: object to any further use of your information.
We will respond to reasonable requests within 30 days. In most cases there will be little to delete, because we keep only what was needed to complete your order.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this site handles data, for example by adding a newsletter sign-up or an online payment provider, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top. Because we don't collect contact details by default, we can't notify you personally, so please check back if you're curious.
